Dog & Cat Shelters in Hawaii

PO Box 1802
Kailua, HI 96734
A haven for abused, abandoned, handicapped and terminally ill animals. H.A.S., located on Oahu, is a place where animals get a new lease on life. Every animal brought to us “HAS” a chance to live out its life in a caring environment.

Evolving as an animal refuge since 1990, the sanctuary is now the home to several hundred cats. No-kill and re-homing policies are practiced. All animals are spayed and neutered in an effort to prevent further pet overpopulation in Hawaii.

Responsible animal ownership is promoted, and as many animals as possible are adopted to loving homes with the promise that the animals are returned to the sanctuary if the new owners are unable to care for them.

H.A.S. is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. We depend on monetary donations to keep the sanctuary operating efficiently, as well as contributions of food, medicine, and other supplies that ensure the animals’ well being, happiness, and overall quality of life.
